DTN COMMENTS: The country is quiet this morning following another round of
light to moderate trade yesterday, mostly in the North. Dressed deals were
marked at $198 to $199, steady to $1 lower than both Wednesday and last
week's weighted averages. Just a little cleanup business was reported in the
South at fully steady money with Wednesday ($124). Asking prices for cattle
left on showlists are around $125 to $126 in the South and $202 in the
North. Beef cutouts are expected to be mixed, with light to moderate box
movement.
